Our
Story

The Illinois Bobcats, established in 2005 by Jack Solomon and Calvin Horn, emerged with a mission to support underserved youth across the south suburbs of Chicago and beyond. Rooted in their personal experiences navigating inner-city challenges such as drugs and gangs, Jack and Calvin envisioned a program that would serve as a beacon of hope for young individuals facing similar circumstances. Central to our organization's ethos is the commitment to mentor and nurture youth, guiding them towards becoming positive contributors within their communities through the transformative power of basketball.
